    SOCAL LESSONS LEARNED & NEWS REPORT (5/18/2008)

    The lessons of the SoCal church shooting would appear to be the following:

    1. All major Church events need security, even outside ones like festivals, feasts, etc. . This one was a festival.
    2. The most common violent event in a church setting will probably be a domestic dispute. This man came hunting his wife.
    3. These events happen so fast that rarely does one have time to call the police. Most shooting incidents occur quite quickly with some saying that, once they start, they take 10-14 seconds. This man walked in and started shooting.
