Missouri Church Camera Catches Burglary In Progress

Independence Boulevard Christian Church in northeast Kansas City, feeds sometimes up to 900 people per week each Monday night, but a recent burglary forced the church to cancel the event this week.

The crime was captured on church surveillance cameras.

Someone broke in early Monday by kicking in an air conditioner. The intruder damaged two refrigerators, kicked in office doors and ransacked the room. The crime ruined the weekly dinner for hundreds of people in the church’s Micah Ministry.

“I’m almost positive that he’s someone who we feed on a Monday night,” Flaherty said.

The intruder also took some of the church’s security cameras, but not before a surveillance camera caught pictures of his face under a hoodie and his distinctive shoes.
