Pastor Shot While Placing Memorial Day Flags

Hartford, CT – Pastor August Sealy of the First Church of the Nazarene was reportedly placing American flags in front of his church,  for Memorial Day, when an unknown suspect pulled up in a vehicle and shot 7 rounds at the Pastor Sealy.

Sealy was transported to the hospital where he was treated for wounds to his shoulder and leg.  He is expected to survive.  The suspect’s image was captured on video and at the time of this report had been released to the public.

Investigators and the media are treating this as a possible hate crime due to the church’s pro-stance on gay and lesbian issues.
