I have been after our church to upgrade our security system for a while
now. We finally did it last week. I got this as an email forward from
our Association Director today:
Quote:
Friendship
(Baptist Church) was broken into this morning and all our church
instruments and sound equipment was stolen. Please pass a warning along
to the other Churches to be on the lookout. It was a daylight robbery.
An elderly couple in the community had come to the cemetery beside the
church and evidently interrupted the robbery. The thieves left in such
rush they almost ran over the elderly man. I'll give more details as
they come available.
Unfortunately, many churches still don't take security seriously. This is a local church just a few miles from my house.
Well, I found out last night another local church got their sound system stolen over the weekend. This one was even closer to ours. We keep telling our association, but it appears no one is listening.
