Well a year has gone by since we started our team. We have gone

to First Aid and CPR and Oxygen Certification. I teach Firearms as I am

NRA certified and a retired Deputy Sheriff. We have had some Medical Emergencies and a few smaller problems, but we have dealt with them all.

I have a 10 member team who are in all of the services that our church has.

I want to thank you and your team for the help on start-up and to get the ball rolling. It has been a great help having the paperwork all done

and the program in place. We have meetings onec a month and we do

scenarios every other month in the church. We practice medical and

active shooters.

Thank You

You have really made by day. Your story has touched my heart and is the reason that Glen and I started this site.

I have talked to many of you on the phone or by email and it amazes me that there are so many of you that are willing to devote your time and talent to creating a safe church home for your church family and guests. When we put this site together, it was with the small and medium churches in mind, those that do not have the funds for a full time paid team but deserve to have a safe environment.

Your incidents are typical of those experienced by most teams. Medical issues are the most frequent and the best reason to get started. The high proile incidents are the ones that gain national attention and that drive churches to finally look at putting a team in place.

I was at a church in the Columbus ,Ohio area on Saturday and gave the management presentation to the group of men selected to initiate their team. Again, a church that will need to maintain a volunteer team, and as I completed the seminar I saw men who have made the decision that they will put a serious effort into protecting their church. Their spirit and enthusiasm was obvious. An you have learned over the past year, it is a major investment of time for the team members and an even greater investment but those who are chosen to lead the team.

I wish to congratulate you on successfully putting a team together and finding the means of training them. I am delighted that our material has been helpful in starting.

Our prayers are with you and your church.

Jack
