Here is a very good video on how to use the Smart Carry holster. I have used this system when I need to be very discerete. If is not as fast as belt or IWB carry but has it's place, Here is the link to the video. Tell me what you think.

Jack;
Smart Carry is a pretty good holster idea. I've looked at them, but haven't bought one yet. this is what I've been using for covert carry:

Smince
Years ago several officers I knew carried a backup in a similar fashion. They used a simple leather IWB holster with the metal clip in the same position attached to the straps of their body armor.
To get a fast access they permanently sewed the button to the hole side the shirt and added Velcro to hold the uniform shirt together. Access to the backup was made much quicker by pulling apart the velcroed halves and reaching the gun.
Hove you tried anything similar. The gun is very high and pulling up the shirt would most likely be a difficult task.

Jack,
Since I only use it for covert (not casual concealment) carry, I was looking for something that I could carry a good size pistol in. I generally carry AIWB in a tuckable design holster most times.
I've found the 2nd or 3rd button down can be quickly unbuttoned and you just reach in and draw. It is quicker than an ankle holster (or even pocket carry, IMO), and you can be moving off the line of fire as you access your weapon. The velcro trick does work, as I know officers who carry in a similar method as you described. Under a tie, you can actually leave one button unfastened for slightly quicker access.
I don't wear mine quite as high as pictured in the photo.

Thanks for the clarification. What you describe mades sense, especially for very low profile.

We had a three day evangelism conference this week. Several well known evangelists from around the Southeast were preaching during this event.
Our usual congregation is around 350, but we almost doubled for this event (around 700). During all this, I carried my Glock19 in the Appendix Inside he WaistBand (A-IWB) position. I used a tuckable design holster under a pull-over shirt.
During greeting and directing people, helping the ministers set up merchandise displays, distributing CD's, etc, I'm sure no one had a clue that I was armed with a serious defensive handgun, extra magazine, flashlight and pepper spray. It can be done.

Hello Jack,
The smart carry certainly seems to be a good system from watching the video. I will be giving it a try, I think it will be a good addition to my other holsters.
