Preventing Church from Posting No Weapons Signs

I realize that a few states have specific statutes prohibiting the carrying of firearms altogether in ANY places of worship, but fortunately, that IS NOT the case in Kentucky. Churches MAY, however, post signs disallowing weapons, but I know of none here that have ever done so.

As an antidote against any movement within our church toward it possibly becoming a so called "gun-free zone", I have invited both the senior pastor and church administrator to go shooting with me. Neither has yet found the time to do so, but each say they would welcome the opportunity in the near future as they already know of practice sessions on the range by Security Team members and openly approve of such activities.

I have been informed confidentially of several persons, both Security Team members and non-ST members, who CCW in our services but I have tried to maintain a strict "don't ask, don't tell" attitude on the subject and that SEEMS to be working.
